Hello, I'm Kate, and I've been happily married for 35 years, raising two wonderful kids and enjoying the company of my three beautiful grandkids. I’m excited to say that only recently I discovered a fantastic way to regain the energy and vibrancy of my younger self.

Back in my 20s and 30s, life was a breeze! 

I had boundless energy

Stayed slim while tucking into pizza and burgers

Wouldn’t give a second thought to stepping foot in a gym

Wore fun, slim-fitting outfits with confidence 

Well, all that changed when I hit my 40’s.

THINGS WENT DOWNHILL - FAST!

Out of nowhere, my once-fit body started piling on unwanted pounds 

My energy levels plummeted

It felt like my metabolism had hit a brick wall

Even after sleeping for 12 hours some nights, I still woke up tired. 

My health and happiness were on a downward spiral but even with all the above I just didn’t realize how bad it had gotten, and the truth was I just didn’t want to deal with it.

EVERYTHING came to a head when my husband surprised me for my birthday and took us to a fancy hotel for the weekend.

On our first night I was getting ready for dinner and there they were in the bathroom…digital weighing scales!

I don’t know why I did it, I knew I wouldn’t be happy with whatever number flashed up but curiosity got the better of me and subconsciously I knew things were getting out of control.

So on I stepped. Dread came over me as I looked down at the numbers.

And there the numbers loomed in all their red glory - 289 pounds.  It was higher than I thought, much higher.  A number that left me stunned and disappointed and if I’m being honest, quite disgusted with myself. 

Looking in the mirror I felt like crying, I felt tired, bloated, and…big!  It was on my mind for the rest of the trip and annoyingly took the enjoyment out of what was meant to be a lovely birthday surprise.

WAS I DOOMED TO BE OVERWEIGHT FOREVER?

On a day when I was feeling particularly down about my ever-growing waistline, my younger sister Rachel called for a chat.  As she lived in Los Angeles, halfway across the country we didn’t get to see each other much but would try to speak on the phone every so often.

After I’d opened up about how I was feeling she told me about an exotic "rice method" she learned about from one of her celebrity clients, that she’d only been doing it a few weeks and couldn’t believe the results.

She said 3 things that really got me interested.

You know what, ultimately, the decision is yours to make. I can share the incredible experiences I've had and how I successfully shed the pounds, but at the end of the day, it's your personal journey.
